Job Description Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract for Minimum 3 Months Hours: Flexible - Various Shift Patterns Available Salary: 25,000 - 35,000 per annum Your new role as a Services Manager will include the following duties: * Sets objectives and goals for the team and what the next steps/ priorities are to meet those goals. * Is responsible for all the QHSE requirements of their team for areas of accountability * Ensures that patients, materials and equipment are safely and appropriately transferred around the hospital to the standard required by the Client and Mitie, as set out in the Service Level Agreement * Ensures that all colleagues are trained in accordance with clients and companies requirements meeting both hard & soft needs. * Ensures compliance with MITIE Catering's and Cleaning Operations Manual and Client policies and procedures by all. * Ensures that the department achieves and improves on service delivery targets in line with agreed KPIs. * Responsible for the day-to-day financial and operational management and delivery of the Administration, Payroll and Help Desk Department * Assists the Operations Manager & Contract Director by managing and developing suitable Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) / Management Information Systems (MI) and Help Desk input and reporting procedures and maintaining them to the required operating standards at all times * Monitors and adjusts where required the resource for the department to ensure the needs of the hospital are met in conjunction with peaks in demand and that labour is in line with the hours for the service. * Fully responsible for purchases and stock control and ensures all service provisions are captured and billed correctly * Ensures that all payroll and absence management process are effectively controlled to minimise disruptions and impacting on engagement levels. * Coaches & develops their teams to be the best they can be at work enabling them to achieve their full potential. * Leads on all employee formal meetings, such as any employee relations topics, restructuring, TUPE or any other consultations. Qualifications * Experience in the provision of soft services - Background in healthcare would be preferred. * A strong manager with proven ability to lead, motivate, inspire and support a diverse team. * Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage costs and ensure budgets are met * Has strong literacy and numeracy skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively. * Good knowledge level of all Microsoft office packages and fully competent in the use of PCs and other types of technology. * Fully capable of understanding and maintaining the confidentiality across the site and respecting the needs of all stakeholders. * Works well under pressure to meet the challenging deadlines for both operational and people aspects of their roles. * Can effectively plan and manage own workload. * A team player with the ability to lead by example through operational excellence, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact at all levels. Additional Information Health and Safety responsibilities: * Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times; * Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment; * Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received; * Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system; Information Security: * Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities; * Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager; * Report actual and suspected security incidents; Note: This job description Is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for this position and the range of duties undertaken.
