Overview
My client are an international financial services corporation with operations located across the globe. Due to an internal promotion we are seeking to appoint a Senior Internal Auditor to join their UK team. You can be based from either Surrey or their operational site in Glasgow as the internal audit team is split across the two locations. Reporting into an Internal Audit Manager, you will be responsible for delivering end to end internal audits across the business in a mixture of both financial and operational internal audit. SOX experience would be helpful as whilst the SOX element of the role is less than 15%, previous knowledge of this would be considered advantageous. The successful candidate is likely to be a qualified accountant with previous experience in financial services. There will be significant stakeholder interaction within the role and so previous knowledge in understanding how a financial services organisation operates as well as working in a regulated environment will be essential in order to gain early credibility in the role. It is likely that the successful candidate will be working for a Top 10 firm and be ready to make their first move into industry.
