Interested in learning more about life at Catalent? Start here Catalent Pharma Solutions are looking to recruit an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Adviser to join our Nottingham site team. Your role as an EHS Advisor will be to the day to day management of work systems for Environment, Health & Safety at our Early phase development site in Nottingham. As a member of the Extended Leadership Team you will be required to progress site strategic plans and operational activities. The Role * Take ownership of the delivery of day to day elements of the Environment, Health and Safety strategy and policy. * Proactively deliver continuous improvement of EHS processes and systems * Determine suitable ways forward for EHS issues, including incidents, investigations, employee concerns, changes affecting EHS and the EHS management system. * Provide coaching in, and coordinate the reporting and investigation of, accidents, injuries, near misses, dangerous occurrences and work-related ill health. * Establish a system for the analysis and reporting of site performance metrics * Maintain awareness of current Environment, Health and Safety legislation and best practices * Act as an accountable officer for Controlled Drugs. Initiate the application of licenses and coordinate reconciliation processes. * Control the EHS training tracker and schedule training. * Oversee and conduct internal and external EHS inspections and audits, including GEMBA walks The Candidate * NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent * Experience of environmental management and / or occupational hygiene is desirable * Experience of working in scientific laboratories, or pharmaceutical industry, is preferable. * Ability to manage a range of priorities such that both short and long term goals are met. * Ability to collaborate and influence across all areas of the business * Takes prompt and proactive action to accomplish necessary tasks.
