Technical Support Engineer EMEA - Manchester, UK Manchester, United Kingdom OneStream Software LLC ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our IT department in Manchester, United Kingdom. This position will work with our Customers, Partners and internal staff providing product support, software installation and upgrades as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. This position is a great opportunity for anyone who is currently a Financial Software Consultant looking to get off the road. The ideal candidate is friendly, out-going, enjoys technology, working independently as well as with a team and transitioning knowledge to customers and co-workers. Responsibilities: * Provide remote desktop product support to OneStream customers. * Respond to product related customer issues and contact customers to triage problems. * Perform customer software installations and upgrades, typically in virtualised environments. * Troubleshoot configuration issues. * Help develop innovative solutions and build strong relationships with customers. * Collaborate with other teams to help solve support problems, training problems, and other issues that may arise. * Submit customer enhancement requests to software development teams. * Update and maintain technical knowledge base articles. * Ensure all interactions with our customers are a success. QUALITIES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have over 5 years' experience of providing support and problem solving on issues of software functionality in a corporate and/or services environment. This key role within the IT Department requires knowledge and experience analyzing and articulating common business processes and decisions to solve customer issues. The candidate will be expected to work well in a small team and willing to share responsibilities with other team members as needed. He or she will interact with internal staff, managers, and customers world-wide. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Knowledge and Experience * 5+ years Software Support Helpdesk experience. * Experience in a Level 2 or Level 3 IT support environment. * Experience supporting customers in a Windows environment (Windows 10, Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, SQL, VMware, and/or Hyper-V). * Knowledge of Finance and Accounting practices and principles. * Experience solving financial-driven support issues. * Experience documenting best practices and procedures in an IT knowledge base. * Proven ability to communicate clearly via email and 'phone * Prior Experience with one or more of the following products * SAP Outlooksoft BPC * SAP BOFC * Oracle Hyperion HFM, FDM, Planning, Essbase * IBM Cognos * Tagetik Personal Attributes * Results-driven. * Detail-oriented. * Strong presentation and comprehension skills. * Able to multi-task. * Flexible and adaptable. * Team player.
