About Us Sharp Gaming is a brand-new state-of-the-art technology platform for the gambling industry. We are on exciting journey to build the next generation sports betting and gaming platform that will support market leading bookmakers globally. With over 25 million investment so far, we have a long term vision for it with lots of opportunities in the future. Sharp Gaming is based in Manchester city centre and stems from the gaming division at Degree 53. The platform is still in development and we're on the lookout for talented individuals to help bring our vision to life. Due to our successful growth, we are now looking for a Technical Architect to join our team! What will I be doing? We are looking for a talented Technical Architect to support our ambitions to build an enterprise grade digital gambling platform, working across a varied technology stack, providing high level designs, quality requirements, and guidance backed by good design principles and best practices to support our engineers through implementation. Your architecture and communication skills will be essential to convey both high level concepts to non-technical stakeholders, as well as holding technical design sessions with engineers in order to achieve key results. You will possess sharp problem-solving skills and creativity to ensure we are pragmatically evolving our architecture towards our strategic goals. As a member of the architecture team, you will also contribute to the future state architecture planning, providing clear intent of our platform evolution and provide guide rails for engineering teams to operate efficiently through implementation. There may be future opportunities to lead the team of architects, helping to define and align and direction of the architecture strategy to meet the business goals. About You The platform is .Net, using RabbitMQ, WebAPI and WCF to connect services, and MySQL and MongoDB to manage our vast amounts of data. In addition, we use React and NodeJS that power the best customer experience in the market. We use both AWS and On-Premise infrastructure, Kubernetes and Service Mesh based architectures to optimise our service design. You should have experience in these technologies or concepts to drive our platform forward. Our platform supports many integrated services from 3rd parties. You should be able to understand these complexities, and ensure we have a robust architecture to limit the impact when things occasionally go wrong. In addition to the technical skills to support our platform, you should be experienced in DevOps, Change & Release Management, and Operational Excellence to ensure we not only build a great platform, but we can transition and operate it at high volumes for 24/7/365, ensuring the end users of our clients are entertained. Ideally, you will have experience working within a highly regulated industry.
