Behaviours: Knowledge of relevant procedures Level of customer Service Team Player Health and safety awareness and knowledge Communication Job Description Main Duties : * To manage the hazourdous waste team and report back to the contracts manager. * To be the key contact for hazourdous waste requested, monitoring the work in progress and making sure the team are on task. * Dealing with current customer requests from providing advice to quoting one-off jobs, and checking queries either in the office or at customers sites. * Quoting new work and visiting customers with regard to hazardous waste * Completion of consignment notes, CDG transportation documents, labels, packaging and transport for hazardous waste loads. * Packaging of hazardous wastes on customers sites to ensure compliance with required legislation for transportation (UN packaging where required) * Collection of MSDS * Liasing with the Sellafield Consignment team * Arranging the disposal of waste jobs for the Cumbrian collaboration. * Monitor WIP * Keeping customers up to date with new legislation and costs * Booking in collections with subcontractors & necessary contact to ensure the procedures are followed & correct paperwork is in place. * Preparation of invoices for hazardous waste jobs * Preparation of Sellafield Waste Analysis * Auditing of system procedures, operating procedures, emergency procedures and work instructions * Escort duty for visitors/suppliers * Act as Building Controller * Any other reasonable work related duties required by the business * Report to the Hazardous Waste Supervisor Qualifications Qualifications / Skills Required : * Customer focused approach * Reliable and responsible attitude. * Must be an effective communicator both verbally and written with external clients and MITIE/OneFM colleagues. * Previous knowledge of the Waste and Recycling sector and relevant experience would be a distinct advantage - Including waste segregation and HSG51&71. * Ability to work as a team player and to demonstrate individual initiative and promote new ideas. * Have an excellent knowledge and understanding of excel, word and PowerPoint. * HNC or Above in Chemistry or related science degree Desirable, but not essential * ADR Qualified for collection and transportation of hazardous waste * Fork lift license * First Aid * Ability to carry out manual work * Ability to use the computer, word, excel and in house IT packages * Ability to work in a team * Knowledge and experience of waste and recycling * Valid driving license * CoTC in Waste * P4 pass holder.
