Job Type Social Care - Children and Young People Group Community and Children's Services Division Children's Commissioning Consortium Cymru Grade Grade 10 Specific Salary 31,371 Contract Type Permanent Full Time Advert Details Full Time or job share considered This is an exciting opportunity to work with the national commissioning team. Primarily the focus of the work will be to monitor the individual contracts called off from the All Wales Frameworks, working in partnership with Local Authorities and Independent Providers operating in Wales. With the frameworks already established there is a drive to promote effective contractual working relationships through the Consortium and ensure quality standards continue to improve. Monitoring non-framework contracts and service level agreements will also be a requirement. The successful candidate will be based between the central office in Abercynon and in the Cardiff region. They will need to be effective at organising a busy schedule of visits, of negotiation and dispute resolution. They will need to have an eye for contractual detail and be prepared to lead on enforcing contractual obligations. They will be prepared to travel as required visiting Care Settings. Some visits will need to be outside standard office hours. Collaboration with stakeholders across Wales such as CIW, Participation Groups and the Children's Commissioner will be a key part of the role. Experience of working with children looked after is desirable.
