Want a role where you can make a difference? **The Role:** To provide management and leadership of the operations of the Bromborough Service Centre and to ensure optimum operational performance of the business, with particular focus on growth and expansion into new services and markets. This will involve close communication with key clients and co-ordination of the local and national Sulzer team, ensuring that appropriate controls are in place to guarantee the long-term profitability and growth of the business. + Responsible for management of the Bromborough Service Centre to deliver operational results in line, or better than budgeted performance + Responsibility for Service Centre Profit & Loss + Lead the Service Centre team in line with Sulzer Values and Behaviours + To facilitate inter-departmental communication and ensure focus on the highest priority issues to maximise profitability & utilisation + Continuous improvement of business practices and processes aimed at improving service levels for all customer projects/jobs + To communicate effectively with all key clients, in order to improve company perception + To evaluate business opportunities and threats within the territory in order to develop suitable actions contained within the Service Centre business plan + To ensure the good commercial management of the business in minimising and eliminating risk wherever possible + Co-ordination of all work involved in the investigation, reporting, and resolution of any emergent warranty issues, through to customers' satisfaction + Remain accountable and ensure compliance to systems and procedures for the day-to-day management of the business to conform with all UK workplace legislation in addition to Sulzer's own (GPR-5) and client regulations concerning safety, health, environmental, quality & HR issues + Lead the implementation of LEAN within the Service Centre + Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement + Visibly lead EH&S improvement through observation, intervention and safety walkthroughs **About You:** + Management/Engineering Degree or recognised apprenticeship + Working knowledge of electromechanical, pump and general rotating equipment + Ideally have a NEBOSH qualification + Prior experience in a similar role with P&L responsibility + Experience in quality assurance issues relating to the testing/operation of motors, generators, electrical equipment, pumps and associated rotating equipment + Working knowledge of prevailing legal, health, safety and environmental legislation + Knowledge of continuous improvement/ process improvement techniques (Lean, 5S, etc) + Comfortable in presenting to and dealing with customers and company stakeholders at all levels + Customer service skills with the ability to understand customer's requirements and translate this into solutions which provide benefit to Sulzer + Excellent people management skills + Organisation skills with the ability to remain calm and focus on key priorities when under pressure + Commercial acumen + Able to understand Service Centre financial statements and translate this into required actions to achieve annual targets **Benefits:** + 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) + service days + Company Car/allowance + Defined contribution pension scheme + Employee Assistance Program + Access to a wide range of discounts on Everyday Shopping, Entertainment and Lifestyle + Flexible working + Onsite car parking + Long service awards Given the pace of change at Sulzer, our employees enjoy growth and development opportunities in a supportive team environment which values agility, speed, and courage At Sulzer, we build on the strengths and diversity of our people.
