The Role An exciting time to join Barfoots! With our continued growth and on-going development, there has never been a better time to join us. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced, technically minded operators to play a key part in a completely new role. 2 x Shift Options: Day Shift: Rolling, 4 days on, 4 days off. 6am - 6pm Night shift:This shift will operate 4/3, 6pm - 6am Sunday - Thursday, for 6 months, before reverting to a 3/4 day shift - 6am-6pm Applications are welcome from committed and reliable candidates with previous experience of operating and monitoring production/processing machinery. Reporting to the Cell Leader, this newly created position will provide varied and balanced duties, with responsibilities spread across 3 factories as demand dictates. Training will be provided to ensure candidates are are fully conversant with a variety of production machinery to form a truly pivotal role within our production set up. Duties will also include Total Productive Maintenance and Asset Care, analysing machinery performance in order to improve efficiencies and overseeing operatives and agency workers, packaging and other steps along the production process Machine Technicians will set up, run and adjust machinery to maximise and optimise performance, (Productivity, Availability and Quality). Be able to conduct basic fault finding and route cause analyses to prevent downtime as well as pre-planned maintenance techniques in line with machines requirements. Working to support the engineering function with first stage breakdowns Ongoing support, engineering related training and development can be expected as the role develops within the business Please note this position will involve periods of long standing and occasional heavy lifting may be required. Key Responsibilities * Set up, monitor and adjust machinery to optimise performance * Attending to machinery breakdowns * Basic machine fault finding and route cause analysis * Routine preventative and planned maintenance * Report and catalogue as appropriate * Engineering liaison * Practice and champion safe working * Health and safety adherence * Ensure quality standards are met & adhered to.
