Factory Operatives - Nights

Operators and Skilled Operators Salary from 18,200 pa to 21,840 pa. (To include shift disturbance allowance) An exciting time to join Barfoots! With our continued growth and on-going development, there has never been a better time to join us. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key part of a completely new shift. We will be operating a new Night Shift to help accommodate demand. The shift will operate 4 nights on, 3 nights off, 6pm - 6am (Sunday - Wednesday) for 6 months, before reverting to a 3 day on, 4 day off shift pattern (Tues - Thurs) The Role If you have previous Factory/FMCG experience, particularly in the Fresh Produce industry, we would be very keen to hear from you. We are looking for reliable individuals, capable of working effectively and efficiently in a busy, team driven environment. Working across various departments, duties and responsibilities will reflect appropriate experience levels. Our Operators are a key attribute to our business, underpinning the successful, day to day production operations. Operator. Salary: 18,200 pa Typical duties include, but are not restricted to: * Working on the production lines * Wrapping and packaging * Sorting and grading for quality standard * Preparing various products for packaging and dispatch Skilled Operator. Salary: 21,840 pa. Typical duties include, but are not restricted to: * Operation and monitoring of production line machinery * Packaging * Machine changeover protocol for product changes * Operating equipment to achieve the highest efficiencies possible * Record accurate production records * Ensuring all cleaning procedures are carried out correctly * Short interval control * Operator supervision where applicable Reporting to the Cell Leaders, Operatives will be pivotal team members, working to ensure that customer standards are maintained at all times, along with a safe clean, working environment. Candidates will be required to follow set procedures and work at a fast pace, so good communication skills are essential in order to work within the team Please note this position involves working in a temperature controlled (3 to 5c) environment and will involve periods of long standing and occasional heavy lifting may also be required.
