Job Description

Purpose of Role The primary function of the role is to design develop and maintain functional and secure networks. You will mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for our users. In this role, you should have excellent problem solving skills and a strong knowledge of network administration, network protection and data protection to support the global networking platform in the Claire's Business, helping us develop a network for the future of Claire's. Main Responsibilities Design and deploy functional networks,(Lan, WLAN and cloud) Configuring, managing and supporting the server and end user switch environment, principally Cisco with the following device's, 3750, 2960, 4400, 6509, ASA 5500's, 2901, 2921 and 800 series devices; Monitoring, Supporting and managing Juniper, Fortinet & Cisco Firewalls & Sandboxing. Automate tasks, suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability. Management of Logon Management / TACAS, Cisco / Fortinet / Wireless, configuration and support of a CISCO CUCM, VGW's CUCM Express and emergency responder, SIEM tools, AlientVault networking threat analysis systems, IDS / IPS Systems and Triggers, Monitor corporate and retail network performance and integrity utilizing tools such as Solarwinds and PRTG Network systems, Support the Group's MPLS, Internet and DMZ's, and deployed stores, Perform vulnerability management, and regular penetration testing maintaining PCI & SOX compliance across the group Configure and support Cisco TPM, Copper and Fiber Channel Networks, Maintain complete technical documentation, maintenance of Site Database, connections and site information. Pro-actively seek to improve efficiencies in all operational areas, Build and maintain effective working relationships with key partners across the business. Work closely with European and Corporate colleagues, contact stores as and when required, maintaining systems, and network and POS systems, Visit group stores / office as and when required, Maintain a strong customer service focus, prepared to occasionally to work unsociable and weekends, act as the face of IT providing quality service to end users. Develop and mentor junior team members, Work alongside other members of the Infrastructure Team to provide 24hr support. Communicate with group colleague s in over 15 country's sometimes overcoming language barriers. Work with Developers and the Business Systems Manager to define, document and review the technical scope and objectives of changes. Where appropriate, work with suppliers to ensure Claire's standards are adhered to and changes and corrections are delivered within timescales Education and/or Certifications Certifications - MCSE, CCNA, VCP, VCIP, ITIL, CISSP, CISM Understanding of project management Methodologies and tools Experience: Experience configuring and setting up CISCO ASA Firewalls, Cisco ASR and security appliances; Experience setting up and maintaining Radius Servers, RSA, or other 2Factor authentication solutions; Experience maintaining company wide network, WAN, MPLS, through Juniper, Cisco & Fortinet Firewalls; Experience configuring and deploying of SIEM, and threat correlation systems such as QRADAR, Splunk, Log Rhynm, Alien Vault or FortiMonitor. Experience managing Video Conference Systems, Ideally experience with Tandberg, Cisco TPM; Experience with FortiManager, FortiAuthenticator Ideal; Previous experience being on call 24/7; Operational support of Retail POS systems; Experience deploying networking monitoring solutions, such as Solarwinds, PRTG; Experience of working with Security methodologies, particularly with SOX and PCI frameworks. Knowledge: Expert knowledge with Cisco CUCM Call Manager; Knowledge of tunneling protocols IPSEC, LWAPP, L2TP. GRE Maintaining a thorough understanding of the fundamentals behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, DMVPN, HSRP, BGP, EIGRP) In-depth understanding of server and networking hardening principals; In-depth understanding of PCI standards and requirements
