Responsibilities * Working on a variety of projects within a development team. Primarily working on a data collection application for Financial Reference Data. Development tasks are a mixture of new development and enhancement and maintenance of existing applications * Develops new systems or extensions to existing systems from supplied requirements and specifications in accordance with agreed standards * Adheres to change control and implementation procedures * Assists in estimating system and program development times and costs * Out of hours on call support for Production systems and occasional resolution of priority issues Knowledge and Experience Essential * Significant experience programming in a Java environment * SQL (Oracle preferred) experience * Java database APIs * Experience with source control systems (preferably GIT) * Junit and Mocking frameworks * Independent * Able to take on and understand the functionality of legacy systems Desirable * Spring Boot * ReactJS * Experience of Java XML APIs * Git * Javascript * Knowledge of Java concurreny frameworks Additional Information * Job Type: Standard * Schedule: Full-time
