Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Shift Mechanical Technician to join our prestigious critical environment landlord contract in Holborn, London The Mechanical Engineer will have experience working in a corporate / critical environment. Good communication and customer service skills are also essential. Due to being a critical environment, the building is still operational during the current Covid-19 lockdown and therefore we continue to service the building maintenance for the Landlord. The Shift pattern is continental, Days and Nights. (7-7) Responsibilities You will: * Deliver PPM relating primarily to Mechanical building services plant and associated equipment in-line with agreed programmes / SLA's in order to meet Client and Statutory Compliance. * Costing and completing Reactive Works identified through PPM work undertaken when requested. * Plumbing attributes to include copper and steel pipework, with knowledge of pumps, basic power and lighting faults. * 1st Line boiler knowledge, cooling towers, water treatment (dip slides, etc.) * To maintain premises to an exceptionally high standard * Develop excellent working relationships with our client their staff or appointed representative through good customer service. * To ensure that all applicable site documentation is kept up to date as this will be regularly audited either by internal or external parties. * Assist with supervision of sub-contractor works ensuring compliance and adherence to applicable H&S standards when required * Demonstrate appropriate Health & Safety knowledge to ensure safe delivery of all work. Requirements You will have: * NVQ Level 2-3 (Mechanical Discipline e.g. Heating and Ventilating 6018) OR City and Guilds (Mechanical Discipline) * And be conversant with Mechanical Plant/Plumbing related Building Services PPM's carried out in-line with SFG20 and resulting Reactive Work. * BMS experience and Multi-skill capability and or HVAC certificates, equivalent qualifications * Ideally all candidates should have undertaken a mechanical apprenticeship * Competent working knowledge of Air Handling Unit's, Building Management Systems, Air Conditioning equipment, Cold Water systems, Heating and Ventilation systems, Water Treatment and Emergency Generators * IOSH Working / Managing Safely (Desirable) * Safe system of Work Procedure - PTW; RAMS etc (Desirable) * L8 Training (Desirable) About Us We are one of the leading independent engineering and services businesses in the UK.
