Multi-Skilled Shift Technician (electrical and mechanical) - Northwood Headquarters Skanska provides total facilities management for Assets, Infrastructure, Support and Office Services across a wide spectrum within a large military complex - Northwood Headquarters. The Multi Skilled Shift Technician (electrical bias) will deliver a combination of electrical, mechanical, water and building Fabric planned, reactive and extra works engineering services across the site, specialising in electrical disciplines. You'll: * Be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance and repair of the site electrical/ mechanical/ building services plant & equipment * Support the delivery of planned preventative maintenance, statutory compliance tasks and reactive works investigations/repairs on mechanical, electrical & building services systems * Service, test, diagnose and repair process control systems and automatic control devices related to the building services plant and equipment * Liaise / assist with other services as necessary for the efficient delivery of work activities, workmanship and productivity to comply with the performance standards * Be part of a 24/7 shift team supporting critical engineering environment and assets across the site. * Undertake any other tasks that may arise from time to time as required and directed by Line Manager/ Supervisor. * Benefit from being part of a great team with career progression opportunities * Have access to on-site gym (100 per year membership fee), nursery, subsided restaurants, free parking and other company benefits We're looking for: * Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance of at least SC level. In order to pass the clearance you must have been resident in the UK for the last 5 years * NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent (including recognised apprenticeship) with an electrical or mechanical bias * Where no formal qualification is held, equivilent experience in lieu of training may be acceptable subject to satisfactory skills assessment * Previous experience in a similar role on a MOD site or critical engineering environment * Working knowledge of other building services and trades * Excellent team working and problem solving capabilities Our Building Services Operating Unit provides solutions to a wide range of both private and public sector clients.
