We are seeking a self-driven, goal focused, and commercially astute individual to work within our Commercial team. An Amazon company, our strategy is to be a leading bookseller on existing and new Amazon marketplaces and to grow in non-Amazon countries. We serve customers in 170 countries and display books in 26 different local currencies, with geo-targeted dynamic prices. We have 6 million email subscribers and 350,000 Social Media followers worldwide. Our vision is to sell All Books To All, improving affordability and access to books through our core value proposition of large selection, low prices and Free Delivery Worldwide. Our Headquarters are in London and our Fulfilment Centre is in Gloucester, with further offices in Madrid and Cape Town. Book Depository has its own Technology team based in London and Madrid. Over the past 10 years Book Depository's buyable selection has grown to 20 million books supporting revenue growth in Book Depository's established countries and expansion into new countries worldwide. However, it is still "day 1" and driving selection growth is a key pillar in Book Depository's strategic plan with a target of growing buyable selection to 30 million over the next 3 years by adding a further 10 million books into our supply chain from 250 vendors around the world. Reporting to the Head of Vendor Management the successful candidates will have ownership for identifying and prioritizing vendors, completing terms negotiations and working effectively across teams to complete the on-boarding of internationally located vendors in our targeted countries. Whilst working within a team you will have full personal ownership for capturing selection at a designated country level. Qualified candidates will work closely with stakeholders across multiple teams and regions, including Amazon VM's and Selection Expansion teams. The role is based in our UK offices in Central London however international travel may be required. Key Responsibilities Identifying and researching vendors in target countries, evaluating their selection and revenue opportunity and prioritizing their on-boarding accordingly. Contacting vendors, introducing them to the Book Depository business model and successfully convincing them of the value of working with BD. Achieving required terms through skillful negotiation including Purchase Discounts, inbound freight costs, promotional spends and operational SLA's. Owning and managing all aspects of the on-boarding processes, guiding vendors through these and working effectively with internal teams to set vendors live within agreed timelines. Collaborating with international Amazon print and digital teams, establishing strong working relationships to facilitate Amazon/BD harmonized terms agreements and achieve optimal outcomes on selection acquisition for Book Depository and Amazon. Supporting the team in identifying and delivering process improvements that will provide a faster/more efficient on-boarding experience for vendors and internal stakeholders.
