Line of Service Tax Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism General Tax Consulting Management Level Director Job Description & Summary Meet the team: This role involves working on a range of challenging and interesting tax issues within the Insourced Solutions for Tax ("IST") group in PwC. The IST group was formed in April 2017 upon the transfer of circa 600 GE tax professionals to PwC. In Ireland, the team comprises 8 highly experienced cross functional tax professionals who advise on a broad spectrum of areas including corporate tax planning, compliance, transfer pricing, M&A, VAT, RCT etc. The IST group represents a unique platform from which PwC provides managed tax services to a variety of multinational clients (MNCs). Through a combination of business experience and tax technical expertise, the IST platform enables PwC to provide an unparalleled client experience with an in-house feel. Whilst the group launched with just one client (GE), it now advises a number of MNCs across a variety of industries both in Ireland and internationally. The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a director for the ISTIreland group to work with a variety of clients and as part of the Global PwC IST network. The portfolio of clients extends across several business sectors to include financial services and aircraft leasing as well as the renewable energy, healthcare, oil & gas and power sectors, thereby giving you exposure to many varied commercial and associated tax issues. You will have the opportunity to work closely with these clients, working with them on a daily basis, building very close relationships and acting almost as an extension of their in-house tax team. As a Director you will support the IST team in building business for the firm, leading and managing assignments won, and developing and managing the IST team. You will be located in our Dublin office at Spencer Dock and have the opportunity to: * Lead and manage a challenging and varied client portfolio; * Develop your own career in a dynamic and growing group; * Develop and maintain business relationships and market profile with a view to winning new business; * Develop and maintain new products and service offerings; * Lead both internal and external projects; * Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including tax, advisory and accounting specialists; * Motivating your team to perform at their best, make a difference and deliver results, while providing mentorship and guidance allowing them to stretch to their full potential; * Work on attracting, developing and retaining the best talents for the firm; * Be part of and contribute to the fun working environment; * Participate in flexible working arrangements and achieve a level of autonomy at Director grade within the support network of a dynamic professional services firm; * Benefit from an excellent remuneration and benefits package. Who are we looking for? * You are AITI / CTA qualified (or equivalent); * You have over 10 year's taxation experience with at least 5 at manager level; * You must have strong leadership skills and have a proven record in building a team with the capacity and capability to deliver. Excellent delegation skills and proven ability to manage and develop junior members of the team is required; * You will have excellent business development and relationship management skills, whilst still maintaining the ability to take direction from Tax Partners and clients; * Excellent organisational and planning capabilities; * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
