In this role, you'll be the technical lead for all data centre engineering operations at one or more of our sites, as you lead, manage and motivate a team of Data Centre Engineers. You'll oversee the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of mission critical equipment and systems to achieve 100% uptime, 100% compliance and Five 9's of availability. You'll supervise local engineering teams and make sure everyone follows standard operating procedures. You'll manage costs and budgets, while analysing relevant data to identify trends and mitigate risks. And you'll continually develop and improve the way we work. We're looking for: Facilities management experience in a similar data centre environment, or a related electrical or mechanical engineering field A background in managing or leading data centre operations teams in a large scale mission critical environment Solid experience in the construction, commissioning, acceptance and operation of mission critical systems Proven knowledge of cooling systems and cooling machines, structured cabling systems, networking and connectivity standards and hardware installation requirements Experience and knowledge of critical building infrastructure, such as Electrical, Mechanical and Building Fabric and a strong understanding of infrastructure redundancy configurations and equipment Proven leadership abilities and the flexibility to live close to site and work as part of our Call Out rota A recognized formal electrical training qualification e.g. City & Guilds with demonstrable experience as an HV Authorized Person. A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be beneficial, but not essential We do more than help you find your power and make the most of it here at work.
