Ground Movement Coordinator ( GMA Coordinator) Job Summary The Ground Movement Coordinator is responsible for: · Overseeing the Coordinated Ground Movement Model and Asset Impact Assessment process, including any surveys required to provide necessary inputs. · Manage the SDSC designer on all aspects related to Ground Movement · Being the main point of contact between the Design and Engineering team, Consents/Stakeholder Management team and building owners/ their representatives. Responsibilities · Ensure that the Design and Assessment teams are using the most up to date, appropriate inputs for ground movement predictions and Building Damage Assessments and other Impact Assessments. · Coordinate with design teams to ensure any design changes have their impacts captured within the impact assessment process. · Arrange for any survey works required to provide inputs to the Impact Assessments in a timely manner, including liaison with Client and Contractor Consents and Stakeholder management teams. · Owner of tracking and ensuring fulfilment of the Contractor's Undertakings and Assurances in relation to Third Party Buildings, infrastructure assets and utilities i.e. coordinate with the Design and Construction team to ensure all the deliverables are in place in a timely manner. · Assist in the coordination with Design and Construction team to ensure successful completion of the structural mitigation measures design and installation without impacting the main construction programme. · Liaise with the Consents and Stakeholder teams to communicate assessment results, possible mitigation works, surveys and inspections with authorities, building owners and asset owners and ensure any queries are addressed so that works can be successfully completed. This will include presentations and one to one meetings with building owners. · Maintain and co-ordinate design, safety, programme, cost, environmental and community documentation involved with Ground Movement, Mitigation Measures and Inspection works. Liaise with I&M team to ensure ground movement predictions, damage assessments and structural mitigation measures are conservative and appropriate. · Raise non-conformances taking immediate corrective action whenever possible. · Maintain good community and Third Party relations. · Assist with preparation and procurement of subcontractors as required for Heritage, Survey, Mitigation Measures and inspections. · Co-ordinate inspections of assets during the zone of influence of tunnelling and excavation activities and report to review meetings. · Ensure all relevant information from Damage and Impact Assessments are correlated and recorded for each asset and asset type. · Work with Commercial and Change teams to agree budgets for planned works. · Assist Change team with identification and recovery of additional entitlements. · Ensure works are completed within budget and to programme. · Work with Commercial and Cost teams to ensure cost forecasts are realistic and periodically updated. · Work with Defect Survey coordinator to identify where defect surveys are required including subcontractor procurement. · calculation of volume loss from tunnelling. Technical Competencies required Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal and to be able to report at all levels. · Knowledge of geotechnics including the assessment process for buildings and other assets Qualifications, Certifications and Experience required Essential · Educated to degree or higher level in a surveying, engineering, mining or construction discipline. A lower educational level, typically HNC or HND or a fully recorded vocational training to an equivalent level may be acceptable where a significant level of experience in a technical engineering role can be demonstrated. · Experience in a similar role within the construction industry. Desired · Previous experience with listed buildings · Previous experience within London Underground environment · Membership of an appropriate Professional body
