Job Ref: CYP-20-011 Job type: 1x Part Time 0.5 hours, 1x Full Time 35 Hours Closing date: Sunday 5th July 2020, 11:59pm Contract Type: 1x Temporary and 1x Permanent Salary: 44,567 - 53,777 pa (+ up to 3 SPA points) Together with families, we will improve the lives and life chances of the children and young people in Lewisham. The Role We are an especially friendly, collaborative and enthusiastic team of Educational Psychologists. We are based in Kaleidoscope, an award winning children's centre, working alongside 23 different teams, which provides opportunities for exciting multi-disciplinary working. Currently we are working remotely from home in a very collaborative and creative way delivering as much community psychology as possible. Lewisham is a great place to live, work and visit, located in south east London, with a diverse community which is passionate about retaining local services. Lewisham has great transport links, being only a 20 minute commute from Central London. 5 minutes away from Kaleidoscope is the wonderful Ladywell Fields and within the local area there is a growing hub of activity with independent bars and quirky cafes. The Lewisham Educational Psychology Team has an excellent reputation which is reflected by high levels of buy back from schools, social care and health. We are a dynamic and creative service with a wide range of innovative practice, including joint working with the Virtual School and the Communications Clinic. We are a Trailblazer area and jointly manage the new Mental Health Support Teams in Lewisham. Exciting CPD opportunities are frequently available and we have recently trained a number of colleagues in Video Interaction Guidance and Attachment Based Mentoring. We have close links with the Doctoral training course at University East London and each year support trainee placements within the team. The newly appointed main grade EPs will provide targeted early intervention services working closely with schools as a Link EP as well as working with early years settings, using a consultative style of delivery and providing statutory assessments. Currently the majority of the work for permanent colleagues is focused on early intervention work. Location 4th floor, Kaleidoscope, Lewisham, SE6 4JF. What we're looking for The successful candidates will be HCPC registered Educational Psychologists with a clear commitment to applying psychology to improve life chances for all children and young people. We are seeking EPs who are enthusiastic, creative and flexible, with excellent interpersonal skills, who can demonstrate a reflective approach to practice and are highly professional. We would be happy to consider applications from 3rd year Trainee Educational Psychologists.
