Key Responsibilities: The new Associate Director will support Mathieu Lief, the Managing Director heading the financing and hedging activities of Infracapital, in executing new debt and hedging transactions, managing existing borrowings, and maintaining and developing Infracapital debt relationships.This will include:: * Create and/or review detailed financial models relating to potential debt funding of new investments or portfolio companies. * Provide support to transaction Director and investee companies and co-ordinate advisors in relation debt raising activities; * Evaluate, structure and negotiate (as appropriate) debt and hedging transactions; * Lead defined aspects of Due Diligence in debt raising appraisal; * Make verbal and written presentation of proposed debt funding to the team and Fund's Investment Committees. * Liaise with key counterparties such as advisers, lenders and corporate representatives. * Keep abreast of the European debt infrastructure marketplace for developments and new products. Job & Personal Skills: * This role is ideally suited to someone who can demonstrate: * Candidates will need to have a first-class education, be highly numerate and literate, and have a genuine motivation and drive to forge a career in the Financing and Hedging Team at Infracapital. * Candidates will have had experience in a transactional debt role with demonstrable experience of working on infrastructure debt deals. This experience will likely have been gained at an infrastructure investment fund, in an institutional investor lending team, in a banking or an advisory role. * Candidates will be commercially astute and have excellent credit analysis skills as well as debt execution experience and will also be strong communicators with experience of presentations and report writing. * Candidates should possess a strong and flexible work ethic plus the ability to be effective in working both independently and in teams. * Ultimately candidates will be at home in a well-established and meritocratic culture of shared responsibility and success and will have a strong desire to grow and develop within one of the leading investors in the sector. * Some European language skills would be an advantage.
