Exciting opportunities for Practice Nurse - Epping We are looking for Registered Nurses to support the delivery of safe high quality patient care in our new Extended Access Service in West Essex. Contracted hours and bank contracts are available. Who are we? HUC provides accessible and high quality Integrated Urgent Healthcare services in the east. When patients are ill and need the right medical attention, they can phone NHS111 provided by HUC to access medical advice, assessment and treatment. We also provide a range of other healthcare services to support patients and GPs, including Extended Access services across West Essex, running GP practices and urgent care centres. The Role: We are inviting applications from Practice Nurses with experience of working in a Primary Care setting and have qualifications in the management of patients with long term conditions and smear taking. Job Summary: As part of the Extended Access team, you will support HUC to deliver an evening and weekend GP service, which will be run from Epping, Other locations delivering Extended Access are; Great Dunmow, Harlow, Loughton,Saffron Walden and Waltham Abbey. We are offering contracted hours, with a commitment of 1-2 shifts per week. You can choose your own rota pattern within the available fixed shifts, over 4 weeks. At St Margaret's Hospital, we can offer the following days and times: * Tuesday and Thursdays - 18:30 - 22:00 This service offers pre-booked appointments to provide better access to primary care for patients. Clinicians working in this service will have direct access to patients notes using SystmOne or EMIS. Role Expectations: We are looking for a Registered Nurse with evidence of effective patient assessment and general practice nurse duties such as: * Cervical smears and well woman checks * Family Planning * Wound care * Chronic disease management The skills we are looking for * Infection control awareness * Relevant experience in a GP Practice * Evidence of statutory mandatory training/willingness to attend training * Knowledge of CQC regulations * Computer literate, ideally with a sound working knowledge of SystmOne * Knowledge of QOF Current Pay Rates: * £18.70 - £22.00 midweek * £19.55 - £23.00 weekends Rates are dependent on skills and experience.
