Job Description
Lead the development and maintenance of our actuarial systems, models and tools. Work on key projects and deliver system changes. Be the interface between the Actuarial and IT department here at Just. As a Systems Actuary based from our London office you'll lead the development and maintenance of our actuarial systems, models and tools and lead on the implementation of change projects to support regulatory requirements, new products, reinsurance structures, management information and external reporting requirements. This opportunity offers you a chance to manage the delivery of work designed to improve the robustness and efficiency of the Actuarial Department through process improvements, system enhancements and ensuring an adequate control framework is in place. Supporting our Systems Architect you'll be an essential interface with our IT teams in providing technical support across database admin, infrastructure and associated IT tools. The primary skillset in the team is Actuarial, although strong IT skills are important as well as good communication and collaboration. The team operate an agile development approach and work closely with IT as well as the Actuarial users. Skills and experience we're looking for: * Qualified Actuary * Knowledge and experience across Actuarial Systems or Defined Benefits would be advantageous * Solid systems development background in: Moses/ Prophet/Monet * Knowledge of SQL, VB.Net and VBA would be an advantage * Experience in Actuarial modelling change projects and developing actuarial software * Experience of software development principles and Technical Actuarial Standards As well as offering a great benefits package as a company Just encourage a flexible working environment where possible - get in touch with us to discuss this in more detail.
