As a directorate of the PRA, Regulatory Operations supports and complements the work of the Supervision and Policy areas of the Bank and ensures that the PRA can execute its operational responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the organisation. Regulatory Operations is split into five main divisions: * Authorisations * PRA Chief Operating Office * PRA Governance Function * Senior Advisors * Supervisory Oversight Function Department Overview The COO Division of the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) is responsible for supporting the PRA's strategy of allocating its resources to its greatest areas of risk, collaborating with the wider Bank and the FCA to ensure that changes to data, systems, processes, people, organisation structure and culture remain aligned with the PRA's operational and supervisory strategies. Job description This is a people management role. You will be responsible for day to day management of the team and for defining roles and responsibilities. You will develop your team through sharing information effectively, coaching and communicating a clear vision to ensure that your staff are productive, engaged and motivated to deliver the area's aims. This will include setting clear goals and smart stretching objectives that are aligned to those of the team, division and directorate. You will also be responsible for handling all staff-related matters that may arise including performance, absence and sickness. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior manager to lead the PRA Business Change & Systems (BCS) team. Reporting to the PRA Chief Operating Officer, the role holder will be responsible for the prioritisation and management of the PRA's 15m portfolio of business change and technology investment projects, and its strategic systems development and support. You will lead a team of 15 and matrix-manage many others involved in delivering targeted business change initiatives designed to help the PRA achieve its strategic goals and local business plans. You will represent the business on various project boards, including large scale PRA systems implementation projects such as Risk & Work Manager, FCA Shared Services and the PRA Rulebook. Your team will be responsible for providing specialist, business-side BAU support for the running of these strategic business systems. Number of direct reports: 4 (total of 15 reports). Key responsibilities will include: * Leading the delivery of the PRA's portfolio of business change and technology enabled change programmes, from scoping and mobilisation through to implementation; * Leading the prioritisation, approval and monitoring of the PRA's portfolio of business change programmes; maintaining relationships with senior leaders across the PRA and broader Bank to drive consensus on the vision and delivery of initiatives within the PRA's business change agenda; * Working with the PRA's senior leadership team to identify, prioritise and seek investment for additional change opportunities that will help us deliver our strategic objectives and enable transition to our future operating model; * Embracing the advances in Regtech and Suptech to contribute to the delivery of the PRA's regulatory commitments in the most effective and efficient way. * Ensuring the benefits and desired outcomes are achieved for PRA business change projects, using clear metrics to measure success; * Leading the development of a business change 'centre of excellence' by investing in the best tools and methods and developing a continuous improvement approach in both the immediate BCS team and the broader PRA organisation; * Acting as key connector to the Financial Conduct Authority for projects of shared regulatory and operational interest and interdependencies, including representing the PRA's interests on the Joint Data Management Committee; * Responsible for the operational relationship between PRA COO and Technology Digital Services.
