About the Role Checkout.com is actively looking for an experienced Lead IT Systems Engineer who will lead a team of IT System Engineers, participating in the design, delivery and support of the IT infrastructure, taking responsibility for the tasks critical to the team's ongoing success. You will be working alongside a number of talented IT System Engineers and SysOps engineers working on all aspects of the infrastructure, from AWS to physical data centres and everything in between! Ensuring delivery is, where appropriate automated, to ensure simplicity, consistency and reliability. Key Responsibilities * Lead a team of passionate IT System Engineers across multiple disciplines to ensure successful delivery and operationalisation of key IT projects * Lead the evolution of the infrastructure technologies, driving technical innovation and efficiency in cloud infrastructure operations via automation * Take overall responsibility for the resolution of escalated incidentsOwn the technical review, approval and implementation of IT changes * Working closely with Product & InfoSec teams to maintain familiarity with business, application & security requirements About You * 5+ years experience in an IT lead position, in an enterprise environment * 5+ years hands on experience in AWS (AWS Certification desirable) - Multi-region & multi-account structure * Demonstrated ability with IaC (Terraform) & Configuration Management (Ansible) * Good knowledge of proxy services, ELK Stack, CDN * Working knowledge of Infrastructure logging & monitoring technologies * Strong experience of administering both Linux and Windows Servers - including Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, GPO * Remote Access Technologies & VPN * Authentication & SSO Technologies e.g. Okta * BCP / DR -Technologies and methodologies * Understanding of operational & compliance frameworks (PCI, ITIL, ISO) - desirable * Experience in within the payments industry - desirable Checkout.com is an equal opportunities employer.
