BERKSHIRE & SURREY PATHOLOGY SERVICES (A joint venture with Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust) Welcome to Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust and thank you for considering us as your choice of employer. We are looking for a BMS Band 5 or a Band 6 position depending on experience and/or specialist portfolio with a desire to work as part of the largest NHS led Pathology Services in the South of England. We can offer: innovative practices, strong, personal and professional development, laboratories at the forefront of the national modernising pathology agenda, forward thinking and team orientated staff, regular social events We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and well-motivated BMS to complement the Microbiology Department within Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services particularly Frimley Park Hospital site. The laboratory is currently developed with a Kiestra system, MALDITOF and PCR techniques. Applications are invited from HCPC registered BMS staff who have completed the IBMS Specialist Portfolio or equivalent for the Band 6 position. Those still completing their Specialist portfolio may also be considered. You will work in rotation with other staff in all sections of the laboratory. You must be keen to embrace new ways of working and develop your knowledge and skills. You will be expected to participate in the full shift rota, covering earlies, lates, weekends and on call duties during the week. Our busy laboratory is fully accredited with UKAS 151089 and HCPC training status. You will be expected to work according to our working time compliant shift system and on occasion may be required to work at other network sites such as Wexham Park to maintain quality, training and service requirements.
