Internal Vacancy: Credit Controller FTC (9 - 12 months Maternity Cover) Reporting to: Credit Control Manager Location: Glasgow Head Office Key Responsibilities: * Maintain debtors days below company target * Chase any overdue debt from independent & National account customers by phone email and letter * Liaise with account handlers to resolve any queries * Liaise with debt recovery agents * Maintenance of customer direct debit details * Assist with month-end procedures and reports * EDI invoicing & resolution of queries * Credit/Compliance check customers and approve or reject applications based on company requirements * Negotiate payment plans with customers to bring the account up to date * Propose irrecoverable debt to be written off Skills / Knowledge/Personal Attributes Essential: * Solid background in similar role, minimum 3 years' experience * Good IT skills including Word, Excel and Sage packages * First class written and verbal communication skills * Excellent organisation and administration skills * Firm but diplomatic manner * Problem solving skills * Good listening skills Desirable: * Preferably studying towards ICM qualification * Ability to work independently Application If you feel you have the relevant experience and skillset to be successful in this position, then please forward your CV to Eva Reid evareid@matthewalgie.com by 19th June 2020.
