Job Description
ABOUT THE TEAM The Leadership Team provides Revolut with the vision, the drive, and the direction to continue its rapid growth and development into a major international finance business. From risk, to finance, to people, the leadership team is our C-suite level grouping that sets the tone and agenda for all areas of the business and is comprised of some of the brightest and most successful people in the business. WHAT WE NEED We're looking for a Chairperson to lead the board of Revolut's subsidiary in the UK. This entity plans to become an authorised Electronic Money Institution and bank in the United Kingdom. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Establish strong Board governance structure and processes - Drive strategic review of business plans for relevant legal entities (eg EMI, Bank, Trading) - Risk & Compliance Committee established to oversee prudential position (capital and liquidity, resolution), operational risk (including technology, cyber, financial crime), conduct and culture - Audit Committee established to oversee internal audit, and external financial reporting and auditors - Nominations & Remuneration established (as required) to oversee appointment of other directors, remuneration policy and code Help us obtain required authorisations (eg EMI, trading) Help us obtain banking license and operationalise the bank Develop strong relationship with Revolut Group Board and executives WHAT YOU'LL NEED Experience as a board member of a comparable regulated FS institution or retail bank Experience of challenger / start up fintech (eg as advisor, consultant) Robust understanding of relevant regulations and technical background Strong relationship with senior regulators Nice to have: STEM degree from top tier university Worked in an executive or board role in a high growth company A LITTLE ABOUT US We believe that there are better ways for people to control their money.
