Job Description We are looking to recruit a Senior Case Manager to join our resettlement team in HMP Winchester. As Senior Case Manager you will be responsible for managing Resettlement Case Managers performance, contract management and partnership representation within the prison. You will have supervisory responsibility for Tier 3 sentenced prisoners, delivering and accessing interventions that support rehabilitation while working in partnership with prison colleagues and a range of providers. If you've got the skills we're looking for, this is a great opportunity to make a difference to prisoners in custody at a crucial time in their lives Your main accountabilities will include: * Managing Catch22 Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC) custody team and Resettlement Case Managers, supporting them in engaging offenders in rehabilitation activities and address any risks that emerge. Ensuring that staff and volunteers are engaged with what Catch22 Rehabilitation is seeking to achieve, are motivated and understand their role and contribution. * Effectively managing performance, ensuring that the CRC's statutory, contractual commitments are met, and that performance is maximised, acting promptly to respond to and resolve performance and compliance issues as they arise. * Implementing our policies, procedures and evidence based innovation and performance improvement systems and processes. Working to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery and organisational performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and standards. * Representing the CRC working with prison staff, other CRC providers, NPS and partners on prison rehabilitation issues. Lead role in the prison for the CRC developing strategic Rehabilitation Plans and contributing to developments in the prison, CRC and working with relevant partnerships. * Offender rehabilitation: * Undertaking assessments and produce Resettlement Plans and reviews engaging offenders and taking account of their risks, needs and capacity, opportunity and motivation to stop offending * Supervising offenders during their prison sentence and directly deliver interventions that support their rehabilitation * Informing, consulting and involving each offender in determining Rehabilitation Plans and activities. * Taking a co-ordinating role working with colleagues and partners in prison and the community and peer mentors to ensure that offenders comply with agreed activities and enabling access to resources that support rehabilitation * Managing risk for all offenders using the CRC's and prison procedures in appropriate cases. * Actively promoting diversity ensuring that the diverse needs and aspirations of all offenders are considered in service planning and delivery and that appropriate responses are put in place to ensure access to relevant services that support rehabilitation. * Maintaining records in accordance with national, prison and CRC policies and procedures and use relevant information and technology appropriately with proper attention to data security. * Engaging in supervision and appraisal meetings with the Case Managers and take opportunities to undertake further personal learning and development activities. Qualifications The Senior Case Manager's day to day work as a Manager and 'Responsible Officer' engaging offenders will draw upon each of five key competencies: risk of harm, engagement, diversity, communication and teamwork. To be succesful in this role you will need: Essential criteria * Up-to-date knowledge and application of relevant legislation and the CRC's statutory obligations and performance and contractual requirements * An understanding of models of evidence and methodologies in relation to offender rehabilitation. * An understanding of the risks entailed in service delivery to offenders and the risk assessment and management processes * Proven skills in risk assessment and management and evidenced based decision making. * Strong personal commitment to the values and aims of the CRC. * Ability to act as an ambassador in promoting our values and approach to staff, partners and stakeholders. * Ability
