Job Description

We need you to be like minded in this approach, valuing the small things which are important to each of our residents. We are now looking to recruit Senior Care Assistants - nights - to join one of our homes in Winchester. Brendoncare Park Road. We are open to applicants who are looking for either full time or part time hours. The shift pattern is from 8.00 p.m. to 8.00 a.m. and will include alternate weekend working on a rota basis. Brendoncare Park Road, our popular Winchester nursing home, provides nursing care for 40 residents, enabling older people to live independent, happy and fulfilling lives. What will I be doing? In addition to providing personal care and support you will: * Act as a role model for other carers, delivering best practice and supporting colleagues to do the same; * Deliver on the job training to new staff in accordance with their induction programme; * Support new and developing colleagues through work shadowing and in providing constructive feedback following observation of practice; * Administer medication; * Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of residents by writing care and support plans in conjunction with residents, relatives, members of the multi-disciplinary team and the Deputy Manager. What experience/qualifications do I need? Previous experience as a care assistant is required as well as an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care. We are also looking for candidates who can demonstrate our four key values; kindness, care, choice and community.
