Job Description
Overall Role Summary Reporting into the Head of Corporate Development, the Corporate Development Manager will drive strategy development and M&A integration planning and execution. The role is commercially oriented, requiring business and financial acumen, while also requiring project management capability. To contribute to the advancement of strategic thinking, the Corporate Development Manager must maintain a deep understanding of Informa's business and markets, through robust research and analysis. A defining feature of the role is that it requires regular and broad stakeholder engagement. The Corporate Development Manager must be credible and comfortable liaising with senior executives. The ability to prepare high quality materials suitable for Executive and Board communications is also key. Key Accountabilities * Lead on Integration planning for M&A deals, ensuring linkage of integration considerations from rationale and value drivers, through to commercial plans and checklists * Establishing regular and consistent meetings with Integration leadership on each acquisition to maintain a clear and accurate view of integration progress and commercial performance, through diligent and independent challenge * Driving post-deal validation of value creation initiatives and identification of relevant leading indicators for tracking * Identifying risks regarding integration or commercial performance, escalating risks and issues where required * Establishing and maintaining direct engagement with acquired management teams * Provide project support for strategic initiatives to ensure structured problem solving, timely delivery and measurable outcomes * Maintaining a watching brief on the market, trends and opportunities Knowledge and Qualifications required for the role: * Several years of experience in Management Consulting or in-house Media and Information Services Strategy and M&A team * Qualification in Business, Strategy, Economics or Corporate Finance * Bachelor's degree required as well as either an MBA or Master's degree in above faculty * Experience in M&A integration planning and execution * Experience in growth strategy and revenue diversification * Experience in business planning and operating model designs * Data analysis, data presentation and reporting skills * Understanding of B2B media and information services business models and operating structure * Experience delivering projects, including tracking and reporting on progress * Customer focus and experience in eliciting and analyzing feedback Skills and Behaviours Required * Structured approach to problem solving * Strong financial analysis skills * Project management skills * Communication and influencing skills at the executive level * Self-motivated to achieve and deliver quantifiable results * Ability to network and build relationships across a range of functions and role types Advert closes on 8th July.
