Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for aStaff Nurse (NHS Band 5 equivalent) to join our Urology & Neurosciences Ward, based at The London Clinic's main hospital in Central London (Close to Regents Park & Baker Street tube stations). Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest independently owned non-profit hospital, with state-of-the-art facilities located on Harley Street.Our Urology & Neurosciences ward is located on the 4th floor, and comprises of 15 patient rooms all with en-suite facilities. We provide medical and surgical care to patients with a range of diagnostics from the different specialties, including Neurosciences, Andrology, Nephrology, and Urology. We are also pioneers in robotic interventions for Urology patients. Job Description As a Staff Nurse, you will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care, ensuring the highest level of customer service is delivered to our patients. * Job Type:This is a full-time, permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week. * Shifts:Long Days and Nights, including alternate Weekends (Long Days = 7:45am to 8:15pm / Nights = 7:45pm to 8:15am). * Salary:The attractive salary range for this role is 35,656 - 38,531 (Inclusive), and will be dependent upon skills and experience. * Benefits package:We offer a comprehensive package which includes a contribution pension scheme (total annual contribution up to 20%), Private Medical Healthcare, 33 day's annual leave (Inclusive), season ticket travel loan, and a wide range of discounts with a variety of retailers and services. Duties & Responsibilities * Responsible for individualised patient care of the highest standard. * To promote a patient focused approach to care in collaboration with all relevant health professionals. * Promote research based practice, quality assurance and clinical audit where appropriate. * Coordinate the patients discharge arrangements, as well as educate patients and their careres as required. * Ensure legibility and accuracy of nursing records and promote safe practice and professional conduct. Skills & Experience * Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin. * Experience working in a surgical inpatient ward environment. * Urology and/or Neurosciences experience would be desirable but not essential. * Experience with Cannulation, Venepuncture, Tracheostomy Care & Male Catheterization would also be advantageous. * Aware of evidence based practice and the importance of research based care. * Excellentcommunication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload effectively, as well as work independently and as part of a team.
