Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started. **Summary:** As a Program Manager, Local Insights you work to create and scale testing programs which enable teams to easily gather insights from international markets. You will be the internal advocate for people worldwide ensuring Facebook feels local for people around the world. It involves working with a wide range of teams and vendors around the world to drive the development of products and features that work well in diverse environments and are locally relevant. The ideal candidate is able to facilitate our teams' best work by managing short- and long-term projects and initiatives, anticipating project issues and resolving them, connecting resources to research needs, and removing barriers to doing great work. A Program Manager, Local Insights is an expert in problem-solving and multitasking, while building long-term relationships with partner teams. This role requires project management experience and broad knowledge of functional testing's impact on product design and development. Excellent communication skills, experience managing complex logistics, and a highly organized approach are mandatory. **Required Skills:** 1. Manage tests end to end in coordination with product teams and testing vendors. 2. Track and move testing initiatives forward that have multiple stakeholders and many moving parts. 3. Create flexible processes that meet team needs and help keep the team working efficiently. 4. Communicate issues related to staying on schedule and propose solutions to remedy the issue. 5. Find efficient workflows that deliver a locally relevant user experience without slowing down the engineering process. 6. Ensure that language and local market requirements are understood and supported from a technical perspective. 7. Evangelize local insights best practices and standards internally - raise awareness with and educate the Facebook engineering community. 8. Proactively raise issues for the growing team before they become a problem. 9. Serve as a dependable point of contact/link to cross-functional teams. **Minimum Qualifications:** 10. 2+ years of experience as a producer, project manager or program manager with a background establishing systems, supporting teams, and developing relationships. 11. Experience operating independently, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner. 12. Experience in a fast-paced environment that requires independent time management, task prioritization, experience identifying problems and working towards solutions. 13. Experience processing and analyzing data sets, and interpret them to make business decisions. **Preferred Qualifications:** 14. BA/BS in engineering, computer science, psychology/sociology, related field or equivalent experience. 15. Knowledge of additional languages (other than English). 16. Experience with relevant technical i18n concepts and practices. 17. Experience working with product, engineering, design, or cross-functional teams. 18.
