Job Description
Vacancy: Field Service Engineer Location: Staffordshire (Home Based) Salary: £26000 + Overtime & call out Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30 Our Client: Our client is a fast growing Automotive business who specialise in fit-outs and compressor/generator mountings. The Role: Our client's engineers are responsible for the servicing, fault-finding, reactive and preventative maintenance work on compressed air systems, both on mobile & static applications. You will work primarily on Rotary Screw Compressors, associated Ancillary Equipment and Intelligent Control Systems with additional requirements to work on Piston and Rotary Vane compressors. We are looking to add an experienced Field Service Engineer to our engineering team and maintain our high standard of service. The successful candidate will ideally be located in Staffordshire, but we welcome applicants from all surrounding areas. Duties and Responsibilities: * Service, troubleshoot, repair and maintain compressed air equipment, normally within a 70 mile radius of home location covering the area between North Midlands to Warrington, East Midlands and North Wales * Maintain strong lines of communication with the servicing team to ensure we can manage our work and customers' requirements efficiently * Provide high levels of customer service whilst adhering to H&S and company policy at all times • Ensure equipment is operation correctly and efficiently at all times * Build strong working relationships with customers Essential Skills / Experience: * Full UK driving licence * Recognised qualification in a mechanical engineering field * Flexible approach to work schedules * Sound knowledge of mechanical principles and repair procedures Preferred Skills / Experience (ideal but not essential: * Experience as a Field Service Engineer (Compressed Air Industry) but engineers from a HGV/PCV/Plant background will be considered * Experience working with Compressed Air Control Systems * Ability to apply knowledge to practical situations working on compressed air equipment * Ability to follow instructions, reading and understanding electrical schematics and diagrams * Sound understanding of external factors which can affect compressor performance * Basic computer literacy * The Package: * Competitive basic salary DOE plus extensive overtime opportunities. * This is a home-based role and paid door to door. * A company van, mobile phone & tablet and * Specialist tools will be provided. * Pension / 20 days holiday plus bank holidays Aqumen Business Solutions is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
