Job Description
Specialty Doctor Paediatrician Permanent Post Part Time 6 PAs We are looking for a part time Specialty Paediatrician. The post provides excellent experience in general paediatrics and neonates. It is suitable for doctors with previous graduate experience in the specialty, including experience in neonatal intensive care. The appointee will form part of the middle tier rota (pro rata) alongside paediatric trainees from the North West Deanery. Previous experience at second on call tier level would be useful but is not essential. We will provide on call support through a buddy system for the successful candidate if this is their first middle grade experience. The successful candidate will work on middle grade rota with 1:7 shift-working pattern (pro rata). The paediatric department has an outstanding record in supporting specialty paediatricians to further develop their careers. Over recent years, one of our specialty doctors has obtained article 14 and gone on to work as a consultant, two have been offered a paediatric run-through training programme and 2 have passed their MRCPCH. We are able to offer a bespoke package of support in order to meet the specific training requirements of individual clinicians. As a department, we want to progress the careers of all of our specialty doctors by developing their clinical, medical educational and managerial skills.
