Employability & Post 16 Technical Specialist Countywide 37 hours per week Permanent About us and the role It is an exciting time in this area as the Council has recently launched its Careers Strategy (2019/20-2024/25). This strategy seeks to improve access to education and employment opportunities and supports the growth and prosperity of Warwickshire's economy. This role involves working across the county in partnership with colleagues to develop, plan and deliver initiatives that achieve positive education, employment or training outcomes for all young people. Key Requirements You will possess a detailed understanding of: the Post-16 education and skills landscape, pathways to employment, including careers and information, advice and guidance, for all ages, the statutory requirements of local authorities in relation to Post-16 participation in education, employment or training. To be successful in this role you will: possess excellent communication skills, including building and maintaining relationships, Possess a good awareness of the issues and barriers faced by more vulnerable young people, demonstrate a successful track record of working in the Post-16 sector including strategic review and planning.
