SENIOR RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE WORKER /SHIFT LEADER £10.20 rising to over £11.00 per hour on completeion of probationary period + great sleepin bonus - 16/ 24 hour shifts - extensive time off! About? Are you looking for a shift leader role with an established provider, offering Ofsted 'Oustanding' homes for young children who have been neglected and harmed? This quality provider of residential care for children with social and emotional difficulties (EBD/SEMH) is looking for a new Senior Residential Childcare Worker/Shift Leader. This is a great opportunity to join a thriving and high quality organisation in the therapeutic residential child care sector. Our client offers a highly competitive salary plus a wide range of staff benefits and seeks an experienced residential childcare practitioner with QCF Level 3 Diploma for Children & Young People. Specialist training available including therapeutic interventions. You will work as part of a friendly and skilled team within a therapeutic, safe and nurturing environment which enables them to develop and grow to achieve more positive outcomes for their futures. This is a challenging role, yet rewarding - you will have an understanding and experience of challenging behaviours and / or mental health conditions. You will work collaboratively with your residential childcare team and other renowned professionals, including leading clinical/therapeutic specialists. Key Skills and Qualifications... * Liaise with management team to ensure the children's home is high quality and meets the social, physical and emotional needs of the children on an individualised basis * Exceed expectations and empower children and your team * Resilient, creative, positive, 'can do' attitude - you will be happy to undertake a wide variety of indoor & outdoor activities including sports such as; mountain biking, camping, climbing, water sports, gym, football, Play Station, music & many others! * Act as a role model and uphold clear and consistent boundaries * Control, de escalate and manage behaviours which can become challenging * Hold Level 3 CYP or equivalent and shift leading experience in a children's home! * Good written and verbal communication skills * Hold a full UK driving license Recommendations...
