Additional offerings for various other applications are soon to follow. This is an exciting opportunity in Milton Keynes for a Senior Automotive Electrical Engineer. The Role: As a Senior Automotive Electrical Engineer you will be working as part of our Vehicle Piloting Centre in the UK to support vehicle Electrification. This role will see you looking after the fundamental design work, appraisal and reviewing other individuals design work and will also require you to get hands on with the products themselves. This product focused position is looking for you to tailor electronic systems for Cummins Products, the teams you will be working with will configure, integrate, test and release software, electronic control units, tools, sensors, actuators and harnesses into an electronic system that controls the operation of Cummins products into a variety of customer applications. Your duties in the role will include: Design and release of electrical architecture and vehicle harness designs Ensuring system is designed to applicable standards Investigating electronic application and systems problems, understanding causal mechanisms, recommending appropriate action, owning problem resolution and documenting results. Applying and improving electronic application and systems development processes and tools. Processes include system specification, modelling and simulation, calibration, Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R), and troubleshooting. Tools include Simulink, calibration tools, and PTC Integrity . Obtaining input and negotiating with product and software development teams and delivers control system designs, verified and calibrated software features and builds to product teams. ...
