Team/Function Overview The Department's primary responsibility is to manage effectively all correspondent cash balances and to negate the cost of overdrawn or excess balances to the corporation. Role requires effective management of all bank and correspondent accounts to ensure optimal financing. Role / Position Overview The job sits within the EMEA Cash Management team, which is part of the Operations Division. Key Responsibilities: + To provide accurate and timely funding projections + To provide timely instruction of cash movements + Effective communication with Risk and Corporate Treasury traders + Ability to analyse and interpret financial and statistical information + Analysing and interrogating data to generate funding projections + To provide Credit line and Cap requirements to the Treasury Traders + Strong Communication skills enabling effective management of Agent banks and Counterparties + Capable of effective escalation in line with risk based protocols. + Maintain and build professional relations with all internal and external clients + Statistics/Breaks reporting + MPP -Maker/ Checker/ Verifier + Support for corporate initiatives + Provide Training for New members of staff + Involvement in projects that are currently running within the team. + Takes personal responsibility for own performance, identifying enhancements to processes that realise tangible benefits. + Ability to self-manage personal development in line with goals and personal development plan. Development Value: + The successful candidate will gain an in-depth understanding of the Cash Management business + Continual interaction with many businesses within the GCIB will aid individual networking opportunities + The individual will be given the scope to review current work flows and provide innovative solutions to further enhance processes + Understanding of the traded products of an investment bank + Good understanding of various Broker/Dealer processes + The successful individual will also be given the opportunity to get involved in project work and support of key corporate initiatives Knowledge/Experience: + An understanding of The Corporate Treasury business would be highly beneficial + The candidate is expected to be dynamic, flexible and a quick learner as the business requires candidates to be able to learn and perform multiple functions Experience in any of the following would be beneficial: + SWIFT + Euroclear and Domestic clearing for Fixed Income and Equity products + Nostro Reconciliations + Repo's + RTGS Clearing + Forecast Funding + LCH Skills: IT/spreadsheet/analytical/modelling skills) Excellent PC skills to cover the following packages: + Excel ( pivot tables) + Word + Powerpoint + Access + Visio In addition, the successful candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, good time management skills and be comfortable dealing with staff at all levels including senior management. They will have experience in financial forecasting with the ability to analyse and interpret large amounts of financial data. Ability to identify trends and patterns within the financial data. Qualifications: Mandatory + GSCE "A" Level standard or equivalent + Good numeric skills Desirable + Bachelors degree + Industry exams e.g. FSA module exams or a full affiliate status Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
