12 months fixed term contract Job Description Aligned with Anglo American’s purpose of re-imagining mining to improve people’s lives, Anglo American aims to contribute to sustainable livelihoods in the communities where it operates. One of the means to deliver on this is the Anglo American Foundation, which aims at promoting sustainable development in host communities by supporting effective solutions that address social, economic or environmental issues. You would be responsible for the operational and administrative management of the Anglo American (AA) Foundation and for overseeing Anglo American’s Global Employee Volunteering Programme 'Ambassadors for Good’. The role is embedded in the Socio-Economic Development and Partnerships team. Knowledge of, or some ability in, the field of enterprise development or finance, which will include: Experience in international development and/or enterprise development (governance, funding and implementation processes) Experience or knowledge of foundation management Experience of developing and/or evaluating proposals and business plans Experience or knowledge of socio-economic development and impact assessment techniques Project management Experience in the extractive sector (desirable).
