Please note: this is a 12 month fixed term contract maternity cover role. Amazon's UK Books team is looking for a Program Manager to join our team, which spans our physical and digital business. This is a role responsible for developing, implementing and tracking editorial initiatives to promote books and authors to our customers, bringing a unique editorial perspective to supplement our existing programmes. The Program Manager will leverage Amazon's passion for books and deep knowledge of the industry to surprise and delight customers by highlighting books and authors that they might not otherwise discover. The role will also work with internal and external partners to develop and implement a content programme to provide customers with unique insights into their favourite books and authors. The role will combine a passion for reading with a knowledge of the books industry, especially in the areas of sales and marketing and the many channels through which readers engage with books. The Program Manager will work across Amazon teams in the UK and globally to deliver a compelling content programme to engage customers on-site, through programmes such as email and via social media. The role will combine great judgement with an analytical approach to understanding how best to engage customers with books and reading The ideal candidate has a track record of building partnerships, analytical skills, innovation, building programmes and delivering results. You must be able to influence across functions, work across multiple opportunities and quickly come up with practical solutions. You will establish and drive new relationships and strengthen existing relationships both within Amazon and across the industry. You will be customer focused, entrepreneurial, a proven self-starter, and have the demonstrated ability to invent.
