Leveraging industry-leading firsts in VoLTE, VoWiFi, Advanced Messaging (RCS), Multi-ID, vEPC and Cloud RAN, Mavenir accelerates network transformation for more than 250+ CSP customers in over 130 countries, serving over 50% of the world's subscribers Role Summary We have 12 months fixed term contract opportunity for an experienced and qualified Tax and Statutory Accountant. This position will play a strategic role in the tax planning, policy, and compliance for the group. This role will report directly to the SVP Tax who is also based in Reading. As a highly experienced and qualified accountant, you will have an audit background as well as practice and tax experience. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring that we have integrity in our reported numbers and that the results reflect the state of the financials of the business at the end of each month, quarter, and year. Key Responsibilities * Developing and administering tax policies for the group, minimising overall tax liabilities and ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations. * Following up on tax legislation changes and identifying tax opportunities. * Assisting in tax planning for all entities including conceptualisation, implementation, and monitoring. * Providing comprehensive tax support for acquisitions and business reorganisations. * Providing leadership and guidance to monthly financial closing process for tax including updating tax provision schedules. * Ensuring that tax compliance (direct and indirect taxes) is in accordance with local legislation and company policies. This will involve preparing and submitting some returns by themselves as well as liaising with external advisors for the preparation and submission of other returns. * Reviewing tax returns and statutory accounts of all entities * Locating all statutory accounting information within Agresso and compiling for the local and regional accounts. * Booking Journals to Tax Accounts * Balance Sheet reconciliations * Tax account reconciliations * Assisting with the preparation of the monthly consolidated financial accounts Job Requirements * Qualified ACA accountant with an excellent academic record * "Top 10 UK" accounting firm experience is preferred. * Significant PQE required in a relevant industry. * Experience of working with or in international groups. * Experience with accounting reconciliations. * Strong technical accounting knowledge. * Advanced communicator to senior level. * Strong IT skills, advanced excel skills (experience with using ERP systems is required) * Tax knowledge and experience working on tax returns and filings would be advantageous Accessibility Mavenir is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to individuals with physical and mental disabilities.
