We have a maternity cover opportunity in our Fostering and Placement Service for 8 months with the possibility for extension. As the Service Manager you oversee Fostering Support, Fostering Recruitment, the Placement Commissioning Team and the Special Guardianship Support Service. This role provides an opportunity for an experienced practitioner and strategist to lead front line delivery or organisational development using their expertise to shape our services. You will have considerable management experience, strong knowledge of research, evidence based approaches, legislation and guidance and a sound grasp of finances and budget management. t Dynamic, innovative, committed and passionate, you'll bring a comprehensive knowledge and skill-base to the challenge of working with vulnerable children and families. Your strong leadership skills will enable you to mobilise the skills of professionals and colleagues, both in Children and Families Service and with those in partner agencies ensuring the very best outcomes for children in Hackney. Candidates must hold a degree level qualification or equivalent, including a certified and current qualification in social work, with evidence of continued professional development.
