Job Description
Depot Stock and Transport Planner Overview My Client is the market leader in returnable packaging for the fresh supply chain in Europe. My Client offers a dynamic working environment for more than 700 employees. This a brand new role within the UK team which requires an individual with experience in logistics and transport planning. The planner will support the depot in the stock planning and will ensure all transport for orders is completed on time for their customers. Key Accountabilities * Transport planning * Organise transport for all orders, including domestic and import. * Ensure all transport actions are completed and priced correctly. * Work with new and existing transporters to ensure we continue excellent service. * Add new transporters into our system and complete agreements. * Report on activities completed with transporters. * Manage negotiation of transport prices with service providers. * Depot Stock planning * Maintain stocks within the UK depot. * Support the planning of the stock washing for inbound trays. * Customer Service Support * From time to time there will be requirements to complete additional administrative tasks relating to our customers. Skills/Experience * Excellent verbal and written communication. * Logistic / Supply Chain experience. * Knowledge of UK transport providers. * Proficient in Microsoft Office - min. Advanced Excel. * Experience in SAP (desirable). Competencies * Ability to perform well under pressure. * Planning and organising. * Pro-active. * Team player. Additional Info * Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum negotiable. * Hours: Mon-Fri, 08.30-17.00. Additional hours may be required including weekends and bank holidays. * Holiday: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
