Due to growth we have an exciting opportunity within the Somerset Mental Health Alliance, where you will join our friendly and inspiring team as the Programme Manager. Your role will be a fixed term position until 31st March 2022 working part time, 30 hours per week. The Somerset Mental Health Alliance ensures that people living with mental illness get the right support at the right time. As well as reducing waiting times for clinical services, it aims to ensure that people can live a full life in their community, accessing housing, jobs or volunteering opportunities, community activities and physical exercise, to help support and improve their wellbeing and quality of life. The voluntary sector alliance is a new partnership of ten organisations, in which we are the accountable body. The alliance has been formed to transform community mental health services in Somerset, in partnership with Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, Somerset CCG and Somerset County Council. It is amongst the first in England and represents an innovative and significant change to mental health care in Somerset Who are we? What will you be doing? * Working in an integrated way with all partner organisations, to deliver an effective project resulting in provision that is in line with the community mental health framework. * Maintaining a positive supportive working relationship with a range of stakeholders - people who use service and our partners. * Working closely with the Head of Community Services to ensure the project is reaching its desired outcomes. * Building new relationships with a host of partner agencies. * Following policies and procedures, creating guidance and local operating procedures where required, specifically to ensure the protection of vulnerable people and the safety of all staff and volunteers involved in activities. * Supporting the promotion of the project to possible funders and stakeholders. Do you have what we are looking for? * Proven track record of project management skills and experience of delivering complex projects on time. * Experience of working in the field of mental illness. * Have a proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with a variety of different stakeholders. * Ability to communicate the programme status, risks/issues and successes to project team, stakeholders and all levels of management. * Committed to improvements, innovation and advances in supporting practices and approaches in mental health.
