Job Description

Main Purpose of Role To assist in preparation for all corporate reporting produced by London entities (including US parent). To be a key person in reporting results to US listed parent Key Accountabilities * Preparation and assist in explanation of Quarterly Group Consolidation and Segment result * Prepare group eliminations/segment adjustments * Prepare quarterly Group reporting pack * To take responsibility for the accuracy of Oracle ledgers * Prepare Corporate member trial balances * Prepare external trade capital quarterly reporting * Preparation of statutory accounts for Corporate Members * Assist in preparation of IFRS consolidated accounts * Development of financial systems and reporting * Play key role in ensuring Sarbanes Oxley compliance * To liaise with external Auditors in a professional and efficient manner * Point of contact for external tax advisors * To liaise with internal and external customers and suppliers in a professional and efficient manner * Ad-hoc work/projects as and when required * To review and approve syndicate coverholder/brokers Role Requirements Skills/Competencies * Communication (oral) - ability to communicate well one-to-one and in small groups. Ability to acquire, understand and absorb information quickly * Analytical skills - ability to understand and provide concise explanation of the information analysed * Strong knowledge of regulatory standards * Compliance - good knowledge of compliance with all internal and external management and regulatory control Qualifications * Part Qualified/Qualified Accountant Experience * Insurance market experience essential (Lloyd's desirable) * Detailed understanding of UK GAAP essential (US GAAP desirable) * General Ledger experience desirable * Intermediate Excel skills We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
