Job Description
What you will do The Solutions Architect will be reporting directly to the Director of Digital Solutions, UK & Ireland. You will be part of the EMEA & LATAM Digital Solutions team, who is focused on establishing the business as a leader of Digital Smart Building Solutions to executives within direct customers, prospects and named partners. You will be well versed in cloud, data analytics, the Internet of Things, and user design thinking to deliver on the promise of intelligent buildings and smart cities. How you will do it As part of a newly created Digital Solutions team, your role will include: *Technical expertise to review, interpret and respond to detailed business requirements by aligning customer expectations with company capability. *Strong hands-on experience with technology and skills in communication, negotiation and project management. *Provide mentoring and training to peers and other colleagues. *Assisting sales personnel in qualification of customer needs and performing pre-demo needs analysis. *Act as the subject matter expert and provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize the RoI for customers. *Ensure that the system design balances functional, service quality and systems management requirements. *Ensure solutions are implemented as expected and to agreed timeframes. *Work closely with Product Managers in their feature areas to ensure that customer requirements are thoroughly understood and reflected in future product release. *Specify and design large/complex systems, selects appropriate design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensures they are applied effectively. *Focused to identify system, infrastructure and project inter-dependencies and balance competing demands to ensure project deliverables are achieved. *Lead the development of the offering and value proposition to prospects and customers. *Drive for the creation of repeatable solutions and key technical wins. *Understand and articulate the value of Digital Solutions to executive and C-level audiences which align to the prospect's strategic business needs, challenges and goals. *Comfortable doing live demos of the Digital Solutions products. *Work with customers and partners to conceive, design and implement technology solutions and map the business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan. What we look for Required *Extensive experience in consultative solutions selling with strong IT aptitude and background in Big Data, Cloud computing, IoT, and SaaS enterprise solutions. *Demonstrated success selling complex enterprise technology and/or integrated communication solutions in large businesses including experience with emerging technologies. Preferred *Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering or Business. *Advanced communications skills to negotiate solutions and resolve issues with peers, partners and customers.
