The Role In this role you will be a key technical member of our Sales team, ensuring Duco can be tailored to meet the needs of our clients. You will support sales productivity and deal flow by demonstrating product knowledge and business understanding of complex solutions, articulating technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. You will need to collaborate effectively with the Sales, Customer Success, Product and Engineering teams to ensure we shape deals that are mutually beneficial to us and our clients. You will have a track record of Pre-Sales Engineering and a familiarity of the challenges involved in dealing with large, global organisations. Main areas of responsibility * Proactively scope out the technical and business design required to address customer requirements and recommend solutions that optimise value for both the customer and Duco * Deliver product demos that ensure the customers understand how our software and services will enhance their organisation * Support the Sales team with proposals and pitch documents * Prioritise deals based on maximising total impact on team productivity and profit * Act in conjunction with the Sales team to help qualify sales opportunities * Convey customer requirements to the Product teams and track product design * Opportunistically pursue additional business development opportunities with customersMaintain and build out demonstrable use cases across a growing product set * Respond to customer RFIs and RFPs Requirements * Substantial Sales Engineering or Pre-Sales experience in financial services technology, supporting various sizes of sales organisation * A record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable role * Ability to comfortably present to individuals or groups at all levels of the organisation * Proficiency in Excel and Access, as well as working knowledge of SQL is strongly advantageous * A willingness to work as part of a team and to be self-sufficient * Be able to liaise with other teams within the organisation, inclusive of Product Management, Development and Services departments * Strong communication skills * Beneficial (not essential) * A background in reconciliations or data management tools * Fluency in other languages The Reward: * Competitive base salary * Company bonus scheme * Company pension scheme * Unlimited holiday policy * Cycle to Work scheme and Tech Purchase Scheme * Flexible working policy, including home-working opportunities * Free fruit, snacks and drinks in the office Please note that since 09 March, Duco has been helping to keep people safe and reduce the spread of Coronavirus by switching 100% of its staff to home-working.
