We have built an amazing team in central London and we're looking for an ambitious and purpose-driven Solutions Engineer to jump on board. You will join a small team who are in the process of building a digital bank and will therefore need to be ready to immerse yourself into the fast-paced nature of a start-up. As a Solutions Engineer you will have a leading part in delivering the company's product including all technologies required to allow our fully digital bank to perform variety of banking services online including our AI driven decisions and recommendation. Our technology cover all business analytical requirements and all that in a scalable and highly governed environment.Your work will be a critical part of Tandem's intellectual property and the core technology will be done in the most disruptive way supporting open-source stack. The solutions you will deliver will have clear measurable results that are expected to increase customers benefit and business results. As the Solutions expert and the driving force behind our technology, you will be expected to have a strong relationship with all Technology and Data stakeholders, deeply understand their challenges and be committed to their success. You will recognise and understand the challenges and work with your team of engineers in defining the problems, designing the proper solutions, develop and deliver solutions in line with Tandem's overarching technology strategy, principles and architecture. As part of a fast paced tech start-up, you will be expected to have hands on experience with open source technologies. You are expected to be an active member of the tech community and bring cutting edge tools into this fast-growing environment. Additionally, you will actively support your team members providing leadership, mentoring and technical direction Our team Building a product with services that solve financial problems is at the heart of what we do. You will work to deliver tech solutions to all stakeholders that will inform product decisions that will result in the build of content and features that will create a personalised and intelligent experience for our customers. The solutions you will build will bring value to all our teams, including: sales and marketing, product personalisation (including pricing and credit underwriting), operations (including service channels, fraud and AML), financial analytics and more. To support your success in this role, you will report into the Lead Solutions Engineer and work alongside our Engineering leaders and Business leaders as well as our DevOps and Information Security. There will be Junior Solution Engineers who will work under your supervision and other team members in our Wroclaw office. All our Engineers take a collaborative approach to continually build and improve Tandem's AI Driven framework. Part of the team is based in our London office and part in Wroclaw, Poland. What you will be working on: The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: * Working with business stakeholders to define functional and non-functional requirements * Help define Tandem's architectural vision * Have a holistic view of the Tandem platform * Integrating with third party APIs * Hands on building of Proof of Concepts for new technologies in our platform and hand over to our engineering teams to deploy. * Hands on building and owning our cross platform technologies such as monitoring, testing and more. * Continually improving our ways of working and coding standards, through retros and code reviews * Being a coach and mentor for engineers in your team and across the company What we're looking for: The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience skills and behaviours: Essential: * Hands-on Back End software programming expert * Hands-on programmatic experience with open source projects * Hands-on AWS experience * Strong relationship management skills * An entrepreneurial and "can do" approach * Track record of working mainly in small start-up companies building digital products for consumers Desirable: * Hands-on Front End software programming * Hands-on ML / Data software programming * .Net C# , Python , Node.JS , React * Spark, Atlas, Ranger, NVIDIA, AWS * Engineering degree What do you get from Tandem? * Gain experience working in a fast-paced, high growth, purpose-driven organisation. * The opportunity t
