Job Description

Job Purpose: Work as a trader on the London CEEMEA Flow Rates Trading desk. Help run the marketmaking business for CEE3 including managing the firm's ongoing risk exposures as well as quoting client business. Job Background/context: CEEMEA Flow Rates Trading is responsible for marketmaking local-currency Interest Rate products (mainly Government Bonds, Interest Rate Swaps, and Cross-Currency Basis Swaps) in the following countries: Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania, Israel, UAE, Russia, Turkey and South Africa. There are approximately 13 traders, with 6 based in London and 7 based in-country. Key Responsibilities: Marketmaking of CEE3 Government Bonds and IRS for clients. Managing the firm's ongoing risks on these portfolios. Directing technology and analytics development relating to CEE3 activities. Producing colour and marketing the business to sales and clients. Comply with all relevant policies and regulations; act with integrity at all times. Mentor and develop junior team members. Take on strategic projects such as managing transaction costs. Knowledge /Experience: Must have relevant experience as a marketmaker at a comparable sell-side institution Skills: + High degree of technical knowledge relating to the products + Highly experienced in risk management, familiar with major players in the market and with good client relationships Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a highly respected academic institution Competencies Entrepreneurial and able to market the business internally and externally Extremely strong numeracy, analytical, and critical thinker Good interpersonal skills Candidates applying for this role must be aware that it is a Certified Role, subject to the Certification Regime.
