Job Description

**Function background / context:** The Business Risk & Control (BRC) team directly supports Markets & Securities Services (MSS) globally within the Institutional Clients Group. The goal of BRC is to establish and maintain a robust 1st Line of Defense control environment and culture to minimize risk within the business. Responsibilities include implementing and overseeing the MSS control framework, leading critical control remediation projects, facilitating controls and conduct governance, interacting with regulators, Internal Audit and Compliance, delivering business analytics and reporting, monitoring and analyzing key risk and control indicators. BRC is looking for a highly energized, dynamic Head of Credit Risk & Control to lead an expanding function responsible for defining and delivering credit risk controls partnering with stakeholders across the 1st and 2nd Line of Defense. This individual should have experience delivering credit risk related control programs across all asset classes including Derivatives & Securities Financing (DSFT) businesses (including collateral, stress testing, concentration risk, wrong way risk, risk capital / RWA) as well as 1st Line intraday credit checking controls partnering with 2nd Line Risk partners. **Key Responsibilities:** + Project manage Credit Risk work-stream for the global Derivatives & Securities Financing Transactions initiative + Represent MSS Business Risk & Control as part of Citi's broader wholesale credit risk enhancement program + Provide strategic vision and planning partnering with business and 2nd Line Risk functions + Project management, status tracking and reporting to various governance fora + Apply in-depth knowledge of concepts and functions to enhance best practice credit risk capabilities including stress testing, concentration risk, wrong way risk and intraday credit monitoring + Partner with Technology to deliver enhancements to credit risk management front-to-back technology infrastructure + Lead a team along with additional support resources + Ensure teams understand business processes, gaps in capabilities, as well as appropriate data sources, interfaces and process changes required to address the gaps + Work with Business and 2nd Line Credit Risk Management to support credit breach processes, governance and reporting **Qualifications and Competencies:** + Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred + 15 years' experience ideally in capital markets in business credit risk or 2nd Line credit risk management function + Strong track record in project management and business analysis, delivering complex solutions + Solid knowledge of derivatives, financing transactions and counterparty risk management + Strong organizational leadership and influencing skills + Ability to articulate strategic vision and impact & influence others + Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a dynamic environment + Highly motivated, strong business analysis, problem solving and analytical skills + Possess a strong knowledge of control design and metrics + Excellent oral and written communications skills; Must be articulate and persuasive. + Keen sense of urgency and eagerness for ownership + Proficiency in Microsoft suite including Excel, Powerpoint, SharePoint and Visio.
